Onomatopoeia is the formation of words whose sound is imitative of the sound of the noise or action designated, such as hiss, buzz, and bang...or in this case Pa-tiriki-ta, the beats and rhythms of the drum.
About the program:
Pa-tiriki-ta is a priceless opportunity for kids to celebrate all abilities and diverse cultures in an interactive arts program that intermingles all, like spaghetti in a bowl!
It’s Flamenco, Afro-Cuban, Argentine tango and Hip-Hop, rhythms and movements that express the soul of traditional cultures.
It’s opportunity to share the stage WITH professional artists.
And it’s a film, following the performing kids, professional artists, elementary school staff and parents involved in the PA-TIRIKI-TA project from rehearsal to stage.
Because? We need to fight isolation for kids having disabilities.
Our way?
We bring all kids to one another. Together...they embrace, lead, follow, glide, pivot, step, jump, stomp, tap, clap, snap, whirl, shake it and turn.
“I no longer see your disability, I see you.”
Because? We need to nurture cultural diversity and heritage, inspiring kids understanding why they each matter in our ever so wonderful, colorful world.
Our way?
We bring amazing local and international world dance and musical artists to kids. And together...they share rhythms, counter-rhythms, movements, patterns, postures, customs, colors, textures, protocols, music and the STAGE, swapping cultural identities with one another and the audience.

Because? We need to increase awareness. Diversity should be celebrated everywhere, everyday.
Our way?
A documentary capturing personal experiences revealing the program’s message and impact shares the transformative power of the arts with others.
Pa-tiriki-ta impacts kids having disabilities and those who have not, artists, families, schools, and YOU, our community!
